Each Collective Community site has its own identity, purpose, content and contributors, while benefiting from the shared platform, technology and support behind the network.

Not every community is defined by a place. A Collective Community site might bring together people in a neighbourhood, an interest group, a profession, a creative community, a shared experience — or around a particular project or idea.

Collective Community works alongside The Capability Stack CIC, providing an opportunity for participants developing employment, enterprise and digital capabilities to gain experience through real projects with real audiences.
Participants may have opportunities to contribute to areas such as:

Managing listings, events, enquiries and website content.
Digital & Web
Developing websites, maintaining content and learning digital systems.
Business & Enterprise
Developing local directories, advertising opportunities and sustainable community services.

Promoting local activities and helping organisations reach their audiences.
Community Engagement
Working with local groups, businesses and residents to develop useful services.
The emphasis is on doing, not simply learning.

Some Collective Community sites may be community projects. Others may develop into sustainable enterprises.
The person running a site may choose to develop:
